At Mindful Ventures, we know how difficult the first call can be. Please feel free to contact us via email at darcy@mindfulventurescounseling.com and request a return call at a time that is convenient for you. Prospective clients can also call us at 773.914.1615 with questions or to schedule an initial appointment.
There's nothing more essential to a positive treatment outcome than having a great client-therapist relationship. That's why the first time a client reaches out to Mindful Ventures, they can expect to speak with a licensed clinician. While a licensed clinician may not be immediately available when a client calls, a confidential voicemail message can be left. Rest assured, our clinician will return your call promptly to answer any questions, get an understanding of your needs, and schedule your first appointment.
Usually a new client can expect to be seen within 3-5 business days.
We are an in-network Blue Cross Blue Shield Participating Provider Organization (BCBS PPO) and United Healthcare Participating Provider Organization (UHC PPO). We are an out-of-network provider for all other insurance companies. Whether in-network with BCBS PPO, UHC PPO, or out-of-network with other insurance companies, we will file claims on your behalf. We do not currently accept Medicare, Medicaid, and All Kids.
Most therapy sessions are 50-55 minutes.
During the first session, clients can expect to discuss the reasons that led them to seek therapy, their goals and expectations for treatment, and other pertinent information. Clients will also spend time getting to know their therapist. Also, we highly encourage clients to ask any additional questions regarding the therapeutic process.
We offer both in-person and telehealth sessions. We use a HIPAA-compliant platform to ensure confidentiality. If using telehealth, you will be given a unique link prior to your session to access the platform.

Yes, we require 24 hours advance notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment to avoid being charged for the entire session fee. This is necessary because a time commitment is made to you and is held exclusively for you.
Absolutely! As long as we have a signed consent to release information, we're more than willing to collaborate with anyone from your treatment team.
